Report an Outage

Are you experiencing power outages in your area? Texas Electric Service is not your electric provider, but we do want to provide you with the links and resources necessary for you to successfully report a power outage. The outage system is set up to recognize your electricity account by phone number, so it’s best to call from the phone number you used to set up your account or pay you bill.

Electricity Rate Guide

Please note that the electric rates listed on Power To Choose are for comparison purposes only and may change without notice. The final rates will be determined by your chosen electricity provider once you have completed a service agreement. Not all cities in our service areas offer electric choice, and pricing may vary based on each area’s rates.

The displayed average price per kWh for each of our retail electric providers is based on a monthly usage of either 1,000 kWh or 2,000 kWh and includes fixed and variable local charges. This price is an example based on average usage patterns and may not reflect your actual average price for electric service, which will depend on your actual electricity usage.

All Texas Electric Service rates listed on this site are gathered from the “Electricity Facts Label” of each retail electric provider. Please note that electricity service offers can be either fixed or variable, with variable rates subject to change throughout the contract term. In contrast, fixed-rates are guaranteed for the duration of the contract.

It’s important to note that this site is not associated with PowerToChoose.org, which is operated by the PUC of The State of Texas and provides a limited and different choice of companies, rates, and plans.
